European Tour Coach Since 1995 and Co-Founder of TPEGS – Tour Pro Experience Golf Schools
Gary started his professional career in 1987 at age 20, as assistant Pro to Ryder Cup player Norman Wood at Royal Guernsey Golf Club in the Channel Islands. He returned to
his native Scotland a year later to join the Professional staff at Dalmahoy Country Club near Edinburgh for the next three years.
He subsequently spent four year as Head Teaching Professional at private golf clubs in Graz, Austria then Hamburg Germany, coaching golfers of all standards from beginners to professionals.
In 1995, Gary packed a suitcase to travel on the European Tour as Andrew Oldcornʼs fulltime coach. His reputation as a knowledgeable and enthusiatic coach soon spread and he has since successfully coached more than 25 Tour Pros.
Traveling to over 250 Tour events and numerous Major Championships worldwide, coaching multiple Ryder Cup players and tournament winners has allowed him to amass a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the game, which is reflected in his holistic approach to golf instruction and coaching.
Now, a few suitcases and 16 years of Tour experience later, Gary combines coaching amateur and professional golfers alike at his base at Kingsfield, Linlithgow with conducting Master Classes and a limited number of Golf Schools.
