Professionals

Our team is full of PGA qualified professionals with a history of success as coaches and European and Tartan tour players. Our line-up is as follows:

Adam Hunter

Adam Hunter (PGA Professional)

One of Scotland’s top coaches, Adam is a Fellow of the PGA who competed for 14 years on the European Tour during which time he won the 1995 Portuguese Open. He retired from playing in 1998 to focus solely on golf coaching.

It was Adam’s innovative ideas that attracted Paul Lawrie to seek his advice as a coach and their hard work immediately paid dividends when Paul won the 1999 Qatar Masters. One of the many highlights of Adam’s coaching career came later in 1999 when Paul captured the Open Championship at Carnoustie. Paul went on to represent Europe in the Ryder Cup in 1999 and won the Dunhill Cup and Wales Open when under Adam’s tutorage.

Adam currently coaches European Tour player Gary Orr and LPGA player Catriona Matthew while he still coaches Paul Lawrie on all aspects of his short game. Other coaching successes included Stephen Gallacher’s Dunhill Cup victory in 2004.

Adam is also an accredited Scottish Golf Union (SGU) Academy Coach where he looks after many of the country’s top male and female players on behalf of the SGU and the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association (SLGA).

A Master NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programme) Practitioner, Adam has earned a reputation as a leading golf coach and was named the Professional Coach of the Year in 1999 by the Scottish Institute of Sport.

It is the work that Adam does with juniors and regular club golfers that can sometimes go unnoticed. “ While it is very demanding and challenging advising players whose livelihoods depend on performance, it is equally, if not more, challenging coaching kids and adults who may not have the same coordination and dedication as Tour Professionals. I think that it is the challenge of adapting my coaching style to suit the environment that I enjoy most. Whether you are an Open Champion or a complete beginner, I believe that I will be able to help you to improve your game.
